Tips to make your photography session go smoother
- Choose a time of day when the children are the happiest, well rested and feed.
- Children become tired quickly and sometimes a small break is needed. Because sessions will run about an hour long please bring bottles and diapers for your infant and snacks for the toddler and older children.
- To help your child feel more comfortable feel free to bring in a CD of his favorite music or a favorite book to help him relax
- For a more natural relaxed expression I love to interact with the children to catch their playful spirit. I ask parents to not coach their children into saying cheese.
- For your family portrait it is best to keep clothing in the same tonal range. Classic clothing choices are khaki pants and white shirts or khaki and navy shirts. Try to avoid busy patterns, stripes, and polka dots.
- Jewelry should be kept to a minimum and don’t choose to do a drastically different hairstyle the day of your portrait.
